This is perfect for any occasion really. It’s a really tasty recipe and is really easy. Definitely worth a go and if you can’t get wild alaskan smoked salmon regular salmon will do.
Time: 10 minutes
Serves: 100 pieces apprx.
Ingredients:
- 3 Avocados
- 200g Plain philadelphia
- 3 Tblspn sour cream
- Dill
- Lemon juice
- 1 Tblspn wasabi
- Onion seeds
- Salt & pepper
Method:
1. Cut your salmon into bite size piece.
2. Peel and deseed the avocados and add to a bowl or mixer along with the other ingredients apart from the onion seeds.
3. Blitz and taste. Adjust until your happy with it
4. It’s easiest to pipe the mix onto the salmon so if you don’t have a piping bag you can just use a zip loc bag and cut the corner from it.
5. Once all the salmon is done all you have to do is sprinkle some onion seeds over.
Enjoy.

I’m a qualified electrician but now a trainee chef doing the Total Immersion Chef Programme in the I.T in Cork. It’s a pretty intensive course for 12 months but worth all the work as you learn a huge amount from it.
I started FunFreshFood.ie a couple years back just writing up really simple recipes, and the blog has kinda progressed from there as I began learning more. It was more of a way for me to remember what I had cooked but has also become a blog that people use on a regular basis for recipes and tips.
